We have been small business owners for over 35 years. Over the years, we have learned from both family and life that there is a growing need to help our aging community find resources as lives constantly change. We set out to find an extensive resource list greater than what a local community center can offer. We know that sometimes life creeps up and BIG life changes are also needed via more helpful living facilities. We have walked the journey with my own parents through this change. From moving my mom to an assisted living community and what to and not to bring, and my dad's move to assisted living as well and all the things in his house he may no longer need. At the same time, we had to downsize my mother-in-law from going to a house into a condo and make her new house more accessible for her needs. Who has all the time to stop life and only focus this?
That is where we come in. When you or your family's life's change in a way that calls for help, we have the good old mid-western charm and hospitably to help you. We are not just here to put things in boxes and forget about them. We are there to preserve yours and your family memories in a way that lives on. I would like to share story with you of a very lovely woman that had around 70 snow globes and could not take them with her to her new living facility. So after talking to her and her family, we came up with an idea that her and I make 15 to 25 second short videos of each globe where she talked about what each one meant to her. Family members took a snow globe that meant the most to them and sold the rest. After we loaded all the videos onto a BIG screened digital frame and set it up to have on a constant loop all of her snow globes. At the same time, I loaded the longer video with her talking in the background and uploaded onto a private YouTube channel that only the family has access to so that the family has her memories forever. |
